  • Creamy White Decorator Icing, 4 lb. Tub

  • Kelly Green Icing Color

  • Leaf Green Icing Color

  • Lemon Yellow Icing Color

  • Teal Icing Color

  • Tools

  • Round Double Cut-Out Set

  • Cookie Sheet

  • Cooling Grid

  • 9 in. Angled Spatula

  • Disposable Decorating Bags

  • Standard Coupler (2 needed)

  • Round Decorating Tip 2 (3 needed)

  1. Bake cookies. Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions. Roll out dough to 1/8 in. thick. Using largest straight-sided cutter, cut out cookies. Bake and cool.
  2. Tint icing. Tint 1/2 cup icing Lemon Yellow and Leaf Green icing colors to get medium yellow color shown.

    Using Teal icing color, tint 1/2 cup icing blue. Using Kelly Green icing color, tint 1/2 cup icing dark green.

    Reserve remaining icing white.

  3. Decorate cookies. Prepare two decorating bags with couplers. Fill separately with small amounts dark green and white buttercream.

    Prepare two decorating bags, separately, with tip 2 and tip 3. Fill tip 2 bag with small amount yellow buttercream, tip 3 bag with small amount blue buttercream.

    Pine Branch Cookies – Using spatula, ice cookies smooth with medium yellow buttercream. Attach tip 3 to dark green bag. Pipe branch stem, then pipe several small lines, forming needles. Repeat for 2 branches.

    Tree Branch Cookies – Using spatula, ice cookies smooth with blue buttercream. Attach tip 4 to white bag. Using heavy pressure, pipe three tree trunks on each cookie. Using lighter pressure, add branches. Switch to tip 2; pipe fine details on the trunks.

    Floral Branch Cookies – Using spatula, ice cookies smooth with white buttercream. Attach tip 4 to white bag. Pipe three 5-petal bead flowers at bottom of each cookie. Attach tip 2 to dark green bag. Pipe stems along sides of cookie. Alternate adding petals to stem using dark green buttercream (with tip 2) and medium yellow buttercream. Add dot in center of each flower using blue buttercream.
