Notes

For thinner, lighter shutters like gum sticks or graham crackers, pipe a line of icing lengthwise down one edge of the shutter and position shutter at an angle against the side edge of the window. This will give the appearance of a functional, as well as decorative, shutter. Hold the shutter in place at an angle by propping it up with a small object for about 5 minutes until the icing begins to dry.
