How to Make Fondant Garland for a Gingerbread House

Add color and style to your gingerbread house with a fondant garland roof or garland accents on the side of your house.

- Roll fondant into a 1/8 in. (0.3 cm) to 1/4 in. (0.6 cm) thick log. Or use the Wilton Decorative Press set to create a log using the single circle insert.
- Using a tip 3 (or any small round tip), pipe a row of string garland on the gingerbread.
- Attach the garland, shaping as you go, and cut at the end. Repeat for additional rows.

Notes

Mark the garland area with icing dots an equal distance apart and match the garland points to the dots.
Pipe royal icing one row at a time so it won't dry before the garland is attached.
Garland can be placed on the roof section before it is attached to the house, or after.
