How to Make a Fondant Bee

Ingredients

  • Decorator Preferred Yellow Fondant, 24 oz. Fondant Icing

  • Decorator Preferred White Fondant, 4.4 oz.

  • Decorator Preferred Black Fondant, 4.4 oz.

  • Tools

  • Fondant Roller, 9-Inch

  • Cake Decorating Tools, 5-Piece Brush Set

Instructions

  1. Roll a large ball of yellow for the body and a small ball of black for the head.
  2. Using a decorator brush, dab water on the body to attach the head. Press lightly to attach the pieces.
  3. Roll out a piece of black fondant using the pink guide rings. Cut thin strips.
  4. Use water to attach the thin strips around the body of the bee.
  5. For the wings, roll a small piece of white fondant into a cone and flatten it with your finger. Repeat for two wings.
  6. Let the wings dry thoroughly before attaching to the body with water or edible adhesive.
