How to Make a Fondant Ball and Flower

Learn basic figure modeling with simple round shapes. Round shapes are just the beginning of figure modeling with fondant. Experiment with rolling different shapes to create many more figures.

  1. Making a Fondant Ball

    Take a small piece of fondant. Place it on the palm of your hand.

  2. Using your index finger, roll the fondant into a round shape.

  3. Making a Fondant Flower

    Roll five medium balls for petals and one small ball for the center.

  4. Using the back of a knife, press to make indentations on the five balls to be used for petals.
  5. Place the five balls next to each other, making a circle. Place the small ball in the middle to create the center of the flower.
