  1. Bake cookies. Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions. Roll to 1/8 in. thickness. Using circle cutter, cut out cookies. Bake and cool.
  2. Prepare fondant. Using fondant roller with pink guide rings, roll out fondant. Using same circle cutter, cut out fondant circles, one per cookie.
  3. Paint fondant. Add Teal, Royal Blue and Sky Blue icing colors, separately, to small bowls. Thin to paint consistency using lemon extract.

Using decorating brush, paint fondant circles, overlapping and alternating colors and leaving some white spaces.

Helpful Hint: To further enhance watercolor effect, drop small amount lemon extract in center of colors on fondant circle and swirl with brush.

Let dry, about 1 to 2 hours.

  4. Decorate cookies. Using decorating brush, brush piping gel on top of each cookie; position fondant circle, pressing lightly to adhere.

Combine Gold Pearl Dust with small amount lemon extract. Paint gold accents on each cookie. Let dry, about 10 to 15 minutes.
