Candy Football Cupcakes

Create a delicious candy football cupcake topper by piping it freehand with Wilton Light Cocoa Candy Melts candy. Serve these cupcakes as you cheer on your favorite team!

  1. Make candy footballs. Tape football pattern to cookie sheet, and cover with parchment paper. Melt light cocoa Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Cut small point off of disposable decorating bag.

    Use melted candy to outline football following pattern. To fill in, pipe diagonal lines in one direction and then in the opposite direction over the first lines. Chill until set, about 10 to 15 minutes.

    Melt white Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Cut small point off of disposable decorating bag. Use melted candy to pipe laces. Chill until set, about 5 to 10 minutes.

  2. Make cupcakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cupcakes.
  3. Decorate cupcakes. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use tip 18, a cut disposable decorating bag and white icing to pipe zigzag on top of cupcakes. Sprinkle with sapphire pearlized sugar. Carefully remove candy footballs from parchment paper; position on cupcake.
