Sweet & Petite Gingerbread House #2

It's great fun to build and decorate a sweet gingerbread house designed with cute icing and candy decorations. Make it the go to activity at school parties and family get-togethers!

  1. Make front door. Use icing to outline and fill in 2 ¼ x 1 ½ in. door. Pat smooth. Attach candy sticks to sides of door and candy above door and for doorknob. Use icing to pipe dots around door. Attach candy for wreath and for doorknob.
  2. Make front windows. Use icing to fill in ¾ x 1 in. windows. Pat smooth. Use icing to outline windows. Attach candy.
  3. Decorate house front. Attach candy under eave use icing to pipe dots under windows.
  4. Make side and back windows. Use icing to fill in 1 1/4 in. squares for windows; two on each side and three on the back. Pat smooth. Use icing to outline windows. Attach candy.
  5. Outline house. Use icing to pipe zigzags at corners of house and lines under eaves.
  6. Decorate roof. Roll out fondant 1/16 in. thick. Cut ½ x 1 in. shingles. Attach to roof, leaving open spaces. Use icing to pipe snow on roof. Pipe line of icing on roof peak and attach candy sticks alternating with gum drops.
  7. Decorate base. Use spatula and icing to ice base. Attach candy for pathway.
