Star of David Mini Cupcakes

Prepare cake mix. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool mini cupcakes in mini white baking cups, using small muffin scoop to fill each mini cupcake cavity, if desired.
Tint icing. Combine Cornflower Blue, Royal Blue, and Sky Blue icing colors to get lightest blue color shown. Combine Cornflower Blue and Sky Blue icing colors to get light-medium blue color shown. Combine Sky Blue and Royal Blue icing colors to get medium blue color shown. Combine Royal Blue and Violet icing colors to get medium-dark blue color shown. Combine Delphinium Blue and Royal Blue icing colors to get dark blue color shown. Tint 1 cup icing each light blue, light-medium blue, medium blue, medium-dark blue and dark blue following color combinations provided.
Decorate cupcakes. Prepare five disposable decorating bags with tips 2C, 1G, 8B, 6B and 4B. Fill separately with various shades of blue icing.
Alternating between all shades of blue icing, pipe a star on each mini cupcake. Arrange in Star of David design.
