Spring Cookies for Kids

  1. Bake cookies.

    Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions. Using Comfort Grip cutter, cut out cookies; bake and cool.

  2. Tint icing.

    Prepare buttercream icing following recipe instructions. Reserve 1 cup icing for later step. Using remaining icing and spatula, spatula ice cookies smooth.

  3. Decorate cookies.

    Divide remaining cup icing into four portions. Combine Royal Blue and Violet icing colors to get blue color shown. Combine Lemon Yellow and Golden Yellow icing colors to get yellow color shown. Using Rose icing color, tint one portion pink. Using Kelly Green icing color, tint one portion green. Tint remaining two portions blue and yellow using color combinations provided.

    Prepare four decorating bags with tip 3; fill separately with pink, green, blue and yellow icing. Pipe messages and designs on cookies.
