- Make chocolate cupcakes. Bake cupcakes according to box or recipe instructions. Place on a cooling rack and cool completely before decorating.
- Frost cupcakes. Using the round tip, pipe white frosting on top of cupcakes. Smooth with spatula.
- Make spider's body. Using orange frosting, pipe a small circle, about the size of a half dollar.
- Make spider's head. Pipe dot of frosting onto mini chocolate sandwich cookie, attach eyeballs. Place the cookie head so that it is leaning on the orange body.
- Make spider's legs. Using black and orange frosting, pipe alternating colors of dots to create 4 legs on each side. Dip brush in cornstarch to smooth out each dot.

Notes

To store: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Decorated cupcakes are best eaten within a day or two.
