These cake pops are a great way to celebrate the excitement of your team's definitive match. Use traditional black and white or make a cheerful variation on classic soccer balls by using bright colors on a classic white background.
Prepare cake pops. Prepare cake balls or pops in oblong cake pan according to recipe instructions and roll into balls. Place each onto a lollipop stick and insert stick into display stand. Melt white Candy Melts candy according to package instructions. Dip the tip of each paper stick into melted candy and insert into a cake ball. Place in pops stand and chill until set, about 15-20 minutes.
Dip pops in white candy. Using reheated or still-warm white melted candy, dip each cake pop into white candy and tap to remove excess. Replace stick in stand and repeat. Chill until set, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Add football pattern. Use a red, blue or yellow FoodWriter edible color marker to trace the pattern onto the cake pop, beginning with top center and drawing lines outward from each pentagon point. Trace next pentagon at the end of each line. Continue tracing soccer pattern until you cover entire cake pop. Repeat for remaining desired number of pops.
Trace pattern with melted candy. Melt colored Candy Melts candy according to package instructions and place each in a separate disposable decorating bag. Cut a small opening in each bag and trace over pattern, piping lines and filling in pentagons. Chill pops until set, about 5 to 10 minutes.
