School Spirit Cake Pops

Show off your school spirit with these colorful School Spirit Cake Pops. Made using two different colors of cake mixture, these cake pops are easy to customize and fun to make for any sporting or school event. Decorate them with Candy Melts candy in matching colors, then sprinkle with nonpareils for a fun pop of texture and color.

  1. Prepare cake pops. Prepare cake pop mixture following recipe instructions. Divide mixture into two equal portions. Using Lemon Yellow icing color, tint one portion yellow. Using Kelly Green icing color, tint remaining portion green.
  2. Form cake pops. Form 1 tablespoon yellow mixture into ball. Repeat with 1 tablespoon green mixture. Flatten both balls slightly, then combine together to form 1 medium-sized cake pop. Repeat with remaining mixture.
  3. Melt candy. Melt Yellow and Dark Green Candy Melts candy in short dipping containers according to package instructions. Dip tip of lollipop stick in melted candy; insert into cake pop. Repeat for all cake pops. Place in pop stand. Chill until set, about 10 minutes. Keep candy warm on warming tray.
  4. Decorate cake pops. Dip half of cake pops in melted yellow candy and half in melted green candy, tapping lightly to remove excess. Sprinkle immediately with nonpareils, if desired. If drizzling cake pops with melted candy, chill cake pops until set, then prepare parchment bag with melted candy. Cut small tip to easily drizzle candy.

    Place cake pops in cake stand. Chill until set, about 10 minutes.
