Rainbow Rice Cereal Treat Pops

The great thing about these rainbow pops is that they won't melt in the summer heat! Made using a simple rice cereal treat recipe, these Rainbow Rice Cereal Treat Pops make a great addition to your sweets table or a fun party favor to hand out to guests. Wrap them in a treat bag or add a little drizzle of melted Candy Melts candy for an added touch of sweetness.

  1. Make treats. Prepare pan with vegetable spray. In microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 tablespoon butter and 2 oz. marshmallows. Heat for 30 seconds on high; mix. Add Violet icing color; mix. Add 1 cup crispy cereal. Stir to coat evenly. Set aside.

Repeat five more times with remaining icing colors.

  2. Form treats. Prepare hands with vegetable spray or butter. Divide purple rice cereal treats into 16 equal portions, about ¼ oz. each. Form into 2 in. log. Press into pan on short side. Repeat with remaining colors. Reserve remaining colored treats to repeat steps. Colored cereal can be reheated in microwave to soften again.

Helpful Hint: Heat oven to 250 degrees F. Place pan with rice cereal treats in oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or just enough to soften slightly. Remove from oven and press down to help colored segments join together. Cool. Remove treats from pan.

Repeat process again for total of 16 treats.

    Insert stick into each treat.
