

Pink Macaron Crab Cakes

- Prepare meringue recipe. Add 10 drops of Crimson Color Right base color to match store-bought pink macaron cookies. Using tip 5, add meringue to decorating bag.
- Pipe meringue crab claws onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Start by piping a smaller curved bead shape. Next, pipe a larger curved bead shape directly to the top of it. Make sure they touch.
- Pipe a mirror image of your first claw, with two curved beads facing in the opposite direction.
- Bake meringues according to recipe.
- Prepare royal icing. Using tip 3, pipe two tall dots onto macaron cookie. Place candy eyes on top of icing dots so that the candy eyes sit upright.
- Once the meringues have completely cooled, carefully remove them from parchment. Attach the meringue claws to the macaron body with a small dab of royal icing.
