Petal Pastel Cupcakes

  • Favorite cupcake recipe or mix

  • 6 cups White Decorator Icing - 4.5 lb.

  • Color Right Performance Food Coloring Set

  • Tools

  • White Cupcake Liners, 75-Count

  • 12-cup Standard Muffin Pan

  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags

  • Petal Cake Decorating Tip 104

  1. Icing Colors Tinted:

    Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint icing in the following shades:

    ? Blue (formula 284): 2 cups icing + 1 B + 1 P

    ? Orange (formula 1355): 2 cups icing + 1 C + 2 Y

    ? Purple (formula 2645): 2 cups icing + 2 P + 1 B

  2. Bake and cool 12 cupcakes.
  3. Prepare icing. Tint icing blue, orange and purple following color formulas.
  4. Decorate blue ruffle cupcakes. Use tip 104, a disposable decorating bag and blue icing to pipe layers of ruffles across cupcake. Continue piping 7 or 8 overlapping rows of ruffles to cover cupcake.
  5. Decorate orange ribbon rose cupcakes. Use tip 104, a disposable decorating bag and orange icing. Position tip on outer edge of cupcake, wide end down; pipe a continuous spiral from edge of cupcake to center.
  6. Decorate petal cupcakes. Use tip 104 and purple icing to pipe a row of petals on outer edge of cupcake. Continue piping overlapping rows of petals.
