Peanut Butter Spritz Cookies
Add some oomph to traditional spritz cookies with the delicious addition of peanut butter. Perfect to dip into jelly or on their own, these peanut butter spritz cookies are sure to become a new addition to your cookie exchange roster!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • Tools

  • Cookie press

  • Cookie sheet

  • Cooling rack

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl cream together shortening and peanut butter. Gradually add sugars, blending well.
  3. Add egg beating until smooth. Add vanilla. Set aside.
  4. Stir flour into peanut butter mixture.
  5. Place dough into cookie press and press cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 6-8 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Remove cookies from sheet cool on rack.
