  1. Prepare truffles.

    Prepare truffle mix following recipe instructions.Using spoon, scoop truffle mix into 1¼ in. balls, then taper one end to make egg shape. Place on baking paper-covered board. Chill 15 minutes.

  2. Tint candy.

    Melt Candy Melts candy according to package instructions. Add 1 tablespoon melted candy into six separate bowls. Add enough vegetable fat to make candy the consistency of water. Using candy colors and color combinations provided, tint candy yellow, blue, dark red, light red, dark orange and light orange.Reserve remaining melted candy white. *Combine Red and Orange candy colors to get light and dark red colors shown. Combine Orange and Red candy colors to get light and dark orange colors shown.

  3. Decorate truffles.

    Using candy dipping tools, dip truffles into remaining melted white candy. Transfer to baking paper-covered board. Chill until set, about 10 to 15 minutes.Using brushes, paint and flick tinted candy onto truffles.
