Paint Splatter Cookies

Give your cookies the Midas touch with these Paint Splatter Cookies. Simply cover your baked cookies with shades of purple fondant, then splatter them with Gold Pearl Dust decorating powder for a fun splash of color and shine!   1. Bake cookies. Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions. Using 2½ in. cutter, cut out cookies. Bake and cool.
  2. Tint fondant. Tint 2 oz. fondant each dark, medium and light purple using color combinations provided. Combine Burgundy and Violet icing colors to get dark purple color shown. Combine Rose and Violet icing colors to get medium purple color shown. Combine Rose and touch of Violet icing colors to get light purple color shown.

  3. Decorate cookies. Using fondant roller with pink guide rings, roll out light purple fondant. Using cutter, cut out fondant circles. Attach to cookies using piping gel. Repeat with medium and dark purple fondant.

    Mix Gold Pearl Dust with small amount lemon extract (should be paint consistency). Using decorating brush, splatter mixture on cookies. Let dry, about 5 to 10 minutes.
