Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cake in 9 x 13 in. pan.
Tint icing. Tint 3/4 cup icing each bright green, bright orange, bright pink, bright purple and blue using color combinations provided. Combine Kelly Green and Sky Blue food coloring to get bright green color shown. Combine Orange and Lemon Yellow food coloring to get bright orange color shown. Combine Rose and Royal Blue food coloring to get bright pink color shown. Combine Violet and Royal Blue food coloring to get bright purple color shown. Combine Royal and Violet food coloring to get blue color shown.
Using Sky Blue food coloring, tint 3/4 cup icing bright blue. Using Lemon Yellow food coloring, tint ¾ cup icing bright yellow.
Using Black food coloring, tint 1/2 cup icing black.
Decorate cake. Using ruler and toothpick, divide cake into 7 strips. Each strip should be about 1-3/4 in. wide.
Prepare seven decorating bags, separately, with bright blue, light green, bright yellow, bright orange, bright pink, bright purple and blue buttercream. Cut about 1/2 in. off tip of each bag.
Starting at bottom with bright blue, fill in strips of cake. Use angled spatula to smooth and blend colors.
Prepare decorating bag with tip 3 and black icing. Pipe animal print on cake.
