Nature Lover's Gingerbread House

Enjoy the great outdoors as you stay warm inside and decorate a gingerbread cabin. It is fun for the entire family and includes imprinted gingerbread for easy decorating, icing, fondant, candy, and a reindeer icing decoration!

  1. Make front door. Use white icing to outline and fill in door. Pat smooth. Roll out candy and cut into door window. Attach. Use white icing to outline window and door. Attach candy for doorknob.
  2. Decorate cabin front and sides. Use white icing to outline imprinted lines for logs. Cut candy leaf into 4ths and attach above door. Attach candy into a wreath under eaves.
  3. Make side and back windows. Use white icing to fill in windows. Pat smooth. Roll out candy and cut into curtains. Attach. Attach candy around windows. Use red icing to outline windows and pipe windowpanes. Use white icing to pipe scrolls and dots. Attach candy.
  4. Outline cabin. Use icing to pipe lines under eaves and zigzags at corners.
  5. Decorate roof. Use spatula and white icing to ice roof. Knead fondant and divide into 18 pieces. Roll into 3 in. logs. Attach to roof in three rows of swags. Attach candy at swag points. Attach candy to roof peak.
  6. Decorate base. Use spatula and white icing to ice base. Cut candy and attach for pathway. Position reindeer icing decoration.
