Make front door. Use white icing to outline and fill in peaked door. Pat smooth. Use white icing to outline doorframe. Attach candy for doorknob, door window and decoration under window.
Make front windows. Roll out candy. Cut rectangles and attach. Use white icing to outline windows. Use red icing to pipe lines on sides of windows. Attach candy to sides, top and below windows.
Decorate house front. Attach candy under eaves, beginning at the bottom row and working up, overlapping rows slightly.
Outline house. Use white icing to pipe zigzags at corners of house. Attach candy.
Make side and back windows. Roll out candy. Cut rectangles and attach. Use white icing to outline windows. Use red icing to pipe lines on sides of windows. Attach candy to sides and below windows.
Decorate roof. Use red icing to pipe vertical lines on roof approx. 1 in. apart. Between red icing lines, use white icing to pipe a line of alternating beads then a line of zigzags. Immediately attach candy to zigzags. Use white icing to pipe zigzags on roof peak. Attach candy on roof peak. Use white icing to pipe a line of icing along roof edges. Pat smooth.
Decorate base. Use spatula and icing to ice base. Attach candy for pathway.
Decorate candy cane cookies. Cookie #1--use white icing and spatula to ice cookie. Use red icing to pipe lines on cookie. Cookie #2-- Use red and white icings to pipe random dots on cookie.
