Gingerbread House Makeover

Tired of traditional? Go a little wild and add vibrant colors to your gingerbread house using Wilton Green, Orange, Pink Violet, Yellow and White Pouch Icings. Each pouch includes both a star and round decorating tip to speed up this decorating project—you don't need to prepare bags and tips and fill with icing. Just twist the tips onto the pouches and decorate!

  1. Assemble house. Use white icing in kit and helpful instruction sheet to assemble house. Dry 4 hours before further decorating.
  2. Make front door. Use white pouch icing and round tip to outline and fill in door. Pat smooth. Use pink pouch icing and round tip to outline door and add dot doorknob. Use green pouch icing and round tip to pipe dots in a circle on door for wreath.
  3. Make front windows. Use white pouch icing and round tip to outline and fill in windows. Pat smooth. Use yellow pouch icing and round tip to outline windows. Using various color pouch icings and round tips, pipe dots under windows. Pat down.
  4. Decorate house front. Use all colors pouch icings with round tips. Begin 1 in. above door and pipe horizontal rows of beads. Alternate colors and stagger lines of beads. Overlap rows. Repeat until area is covered.
  5. Make side and back windows. Use white pouch icing with round tip to outline and fill in windows. Use violet pouch icing with round tip to outline windows. Using various color pouch icings and round tips, pipe dots on sides of windows. Pat down.
  6. Outline house. Use white icing to pipe lines at corners of house and under eaves.
  7. Decorate roof. Use violet pouch icing and star tip to pipe zigzags on roof peak. Beginning at the top, pipe rows in this order: Stars with pink pouch icing and star tip, zigzags with orange pouch icing and round tip, line with yellow pouch icing and star tip, dots with green pouch icing and round tip, rosettes with violet pouch icing and star tip Repeat sequence until roof is covered.
  8. Decorate base. Use spatula and icing to ice base and create pathway.
