  1. Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cakes in mini Wonder Mold pans. Trim cakes to be level with pans. Cut four cake boards to match bottom of cakes, approximately 3¼ in. in size. Place cakes on boards.
  2. Tint icing and fondant. Prepare two recipes buttercream icing following recipe instructions. Divide equally into four portions. Combine Pink, Violet and Ivory icing colors for light rose color shown. Combine Burgundy and Ivory icing colors for dark rose color shown. Combine Burgundy and Royal Blue icing colors for dark mauve color shown. Combine Violet, Royal Blue and Black icing colors for dark violet color shown. Tint one portion each light rose, dark rose, dark mauve and dark violet using color combinations provided.

    Tint ½ oz. fondant each light rose, dark rose, dark mauve and dark violet using color combinations provided.

  3. Decorate dolls. Using fondant roller with purple guide rings, roll out each portion fondant separately. Roll into strip 1 in. x 4 in. in size. Use decorating brush to lightly brush piping gel on doll torso; wrap fondant around doll, trimming excess as needed. Form fondant to doll using fingers. Insert pick into cake, trimming fondant around base of pick to insert doll up to waist. Repeat with remaining fondant and doll picks.
  4. Decorate cakes. Using icing that matches bodice color of dolls, ice mini cakes. Using spatula, make diagonal lines in dress, sweeping to right on two cakes; sweeping to left on two cakes.

    Prepare parchment bags with tip 3. Fill separately with remaining icing. Using matching icing, pipe dots around bottom portion of each dress.
