These Light and Delicate Meringue Heart Wreaths are a wonderful brunch dessert—they pair nicely with a cup of tea and they're a cute and fun way to celebrate your favorite gal pals! Made with a combination of decorating tips and icing colors, these cookies give you a little taste of something sweet without weighing you down.
Prepare pattern. Using largest heart cutter, trace hearts on backside of parchment paper that has been cut to fit cookie sheet.
Prepare batter. Prepare meringue batter following recipe instructions. Divide into five equal portions. Combine Rose and Sky Blue icing colors to get pink color shown. Combine Orange, Red-Red and Ivory icing colors to get orange color shown. Combine Royal Blue, Sky Blue and touch of Ivory icing colors to get blue color shown. Combine Kelly Green and Royal Blue icing colors to get green color shown. Combine Violet and Royal Blue icing colors to get purple color shown. Tint one portion each pink, orange, blue, green and purple using color combinations provided.
Pipe meringues. Prepare five decorating bags separately with assorted tips. Fill each bag with different color meringue batter. Attach parchment paper right side up to cookie sheet using dot of meringue batter in each corner.
Alternating colors, pipe dots, swirls and stars following heart pattern lines. Bake and cool according to recipe instructions.
