Leftover Pie Crust Snack Recipes

If you’re making some homemade pies and have some extra scraps after rolling out the dough these are a few fun recipes to try out. These leftover pie crust snacks and cookies can help top off other tasty desserts or can be enjoyed all on their own!

  1. Use the fondant cutters or small cookie cutters to cut assorted shapes from leftover pie dough scraps. Place scraps on a parchment lined baking sheet and brush with egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1/2 tbsp of water).
  2. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (as much or as little as you'd like!) and bake in a preheated 400ºF oven until they’re golden brown, 7 to 9 minutes.
  3. For Cupcake toppers: Follow the first two steps. Then let cool, place on iced cupcakes and enjoy!
  4. For Coffee Cookies: Follow the first two steps. Let cool, then enjoy as an accompaniment to coffee or dunk into your coffee!
  5. For Candy Melts Candy Drizzled Pastry Snacks: Follow the first two steps. Place baked and cooled pastry scraps on parchment paper. Melt 1/4 cup light cocoa Candy Melts candy according to package instructions. Place melted candy in disposable decorating bag, cut a small opening in the tip of the bag. Drizzle melted candy over baked pastry scraps and sprinkle with your choice of cookies. Let set and enjoy!
