Pipe simple pull-out dot trees right on the side of your gingerbread house using this easy technique. You can decorate the trees too, just pipe tip 3 dot ornaments then top your tree with a gold sprinkle star!
Start by piping the base of the tree. Using a decorating bag fitted with tip 3 (or any small round tip), hold the bag against the side panel of the gingerbread house, with the tip just slightly above the surface.
Squeeze the bag to form a dot. Continue squeezing, pulling the tip down and away, decreasing pressure as you reach the desired length.
After completing the base row, pipe a shorter row of pull-out dots right above it.
Stagger the pull-out dots as you pipe them, so that the new row is piped between the previous row of pull-out dots. This will create a fuller, dimensional look.
Repeat until you have achieved the desired size and a triangle shape is formed.
