Halloween Haunted House #2

Add a bit of fright to your Halloween night as you decorate this chocolate cookie house! Kids and adults will have a frightening good time creating a scene with a haunted house, trees and a tombstone!

  1. Make front door. Use gray icing to fill in door. Smooth. Attach candy and outline with black icing. Attach candy sticks to sides of door.
  2. Make all windows. Use gray icing to fill in windows; two for front, one for each side and two on back. Use black icing to outlines windows and windowpanes. Roll out fondant 1/16 in. thick and cut into 3/8 in wide strips. Cut into pieces and attach for shutters. Attach candy.
  3. Decorate house front. Cut gumdrops in half and attach under eaves. Use orange icing to pipe pumpkin under window; attach candy for stem and use black icing to pipe facial features.
  4. Decorate roof. Use black and orange icing to pipe alternating rows of zigzags. Pipe zigzags on roof peak and attach candy. Use black icing to pipe beads on eaves and roof edges.
  5. Decorate trees. Fill in large tree with black icing; use spatula to imprint bark. Fill in smaller tree with gray icing; use spatula to imprint bark. Use black icing to add leaves. Attach easels to backs of trees.
  6. Decorate tombstone. Use gray icing to pipe crossed bones. Attach candy.
  7. Decorate base. Use black icing to ice pathway. Attach candy for pathway.
