- Make cupcakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cupcakes. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use tip 2A, cut disposable decorating bag and icing to pipe mound on cupcake. Use spatula to smooth icing into dome.
- Make fondant cupcake toppers. Tint fondant violet. Use fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out violet fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use circle cutter to cut circle. Place toppers under storage board flap.
- Make raised stencil design. Place stencil on fondant topper. Use tip 2, cut disposable decorating bag and icing to fill in the stencil. Use finger dipped in cornstarch to pat icing gently. Use brush to paint gold and lilac purple Pearl Dust edible accents/lemon extract mixture on raised design. Carefully remove stencil. Use icing to attach topper to cupcake.
- Make flat stencil design. Place stencil on fondant topper. Use brush to paint gold and lilac purple Pearl Dust edible accents/lemon extract mixture on stencil. Carefully remove stencil. Use icing to attach topper to cupcake.
- Make Color Mist food color spray stencil design. Place stencil on fondant topper. Place topper on parchment paper-covered surface. Use gold food color spray to fill in stencil design. Carefully remove stencil. Let dry for 3 minutes. Use icing to attach topper onto cupcake.
- Make gold background design. Place stencil on fondant topper. Use tip 2, cut disposable decorating bag and icing to fill in stencil design. Remove stencil from topper. Use gold food color spray to spray topper. Let dry 2 or 3 minutes. Use icing to attach topper to cupcake. Use small knife to carefully remove remaining icing from topper to reveal purple stencil design.
