Firework Cookies

You may think the leaf tip can only be used to pipe leaves, but think again! These Firework Cookies are made using vibrant shades of magenta and purple icing. A leaf tip is used to create a piping decoration that literally looks like it's exploding off the cookie! A quick and easy decorating project for beginners, these cookies are easy to make and customize for any occasion.   1. Bake cookies. Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions. Roll out dough to 1/8 in. thickness. Using “C” cut-out, cut out dough. Bake and cool cookies.
  2. Tint icing. Combine Rose and Sky Blue icing colors to get medium magenta color shown. Combine Rose and touch of Violet icing colors to get medium purple color shown. Tint 1 cup icing each medium magenta and medium purple using color combinations provided.
  3. Decorate cookies. Prepare two decorating bags with tip 352. Fill separately with medium magenta and medium purple icing. Using one bag at a time, pipe pull-out leaves on cookies, starting at outer edge and moving toward center, overlapping leaves from previous row.
