Elegant White Rose Buttercream Cake

With a tapered spatula and some white and green icing, you can create this Elegant White Rose Buttercream Cake for your next bridal shower or birthday celebration.   1. Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool two cake layers. Level, fill and stack layers for 5 in. high cake.

    Ice cake smooth.

  2. Tint icing. Using Juniper Green icing color, tint 1/4 cup icing dark green. Tint 1/4 cup icing light green using color combination provided. Combine Leaf Green and Moss Green icing colors to get light green color shown.

    Reserve remaining icing white.

  3. Decorate cake. Using the tip of the tapered spatula, scoop a small amount of white icing onto the side of the cake, forming the center of the rose flower. Swipe small amounts of white icing in a circular pattern around the center to form the rose petals.

    For the daisies, move the tip of the spatula towards the center of the flower to create a tapered petal.

    Using the tapered spatula with the dark and light green icing, add leaves, flower centers and other decorations, as desired.
