Easy Marshmallow Snowman Cupcakes

  1. Bake cupcakes. Prepare cake mix or recipe according to instructions and bake in green cupcake liners. Let cool completely.
  2. Tint frosting. Tint 1/4 cup buttercream each Christmas Red, Black and Orange using icing colors. Reserve 1/4 cup white.
  3. Prepare piping bags. Prepare two disposable decorating bags with tip 2 and two with tip 1. Fill tip 2 bags with Christmas red and orange frosting and tip 1 bags with black and white frosting.
  4. Frost cupcakes. Spatula frost the cupcakes with white frosting and sprinkle on sparkling sugar and snowflake sprinkles.
  5. Prepare snowmen. Skewer two marshmallows with a pretzel stick, making sure one end is sticking out to insert into the cupcake.
  6. Pipe two red circles on opposite sides of the marshmallow head for earmuffs, then dip into red sanding sugar. Shake off excess and pipe a line to connect them.
  7. Pipe the eyes with black icing and a carrot nose with orange.
  8. Pipe small dots of white icing and carefully attach mini chip sprinkles for buttons.
  9. Insert the snowman into the cupcake, then break a pretzel stick in half and insert into sides for arms.
