Easy Apple Crisp Recipe

This delicious apple crisp recipe is perfect for serving at your next fall holiday or celebration. Ingredients

    • medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/4-1/2 pieces (about 7-8 cups)

    • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

    • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    • Topping

    • 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

    • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

    • 3/4 cup firmly-packed light brown sugar

    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    • 1/8 teaspoon salt

    • 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into 1/2 in. pieces

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare 9 in. square pan with vegetable pan spray.
    2. In a large bowl, toss apples with sugar, flour and cinnamon until apples are coated; pour into prepared pan.
    3. For topping, in a medium bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Using a pastry blender or two forks, cut in butter until mixture forms pea-sized pieces. Sprinkle topping over apple mixture.
    4. Bake 35-40 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Let cool in pan on cooling grid 15 minutes; serve warm.
