Make front door. Use white icing to fill in arched door. Pat smooth. Use red icing to pipe vertical lines on bottom of door. Attach candy around door, for doorknob and for window.
Make all windows. Use white icing to outline windows and windowpanes. Attach candy.
Outline house. Use white icing to pipe zigzags at corners of house. Attach candy.
Decorate roof. Use spatula and white icing to ice roof. Use red tube icing to pipe scallops across roof, 1 ½ in. apart. Attach candy to scallops. Use white icing to pipe zigzags on roof peak. Attach candy. Use white icing to pipe zigzags along eaves. Attach candy.
Decorate base. Use spatula and icing to ice base. Attach candy for pathway.
Decorate candy cane cookies. Cookie #1—Use spatula and white icing to ice cookie. Use white and red icings to pipe stripes on cookie. Cookie #2—Use spatula and white icing to ice cookie. Attach candy.
