Cute Halloween Monster Cupcakes

This Halloween, all eyes will be on the cupcakes that look back at you with their candy eyes! Serve them to all the trick-or-treating mini monsters and ghouls or offer them to costumed adults at a Halloween party . But make a double batch, as these Halloween cupcakes are so frighteningly fun everyone will want one.

Ingredients

  • Favorite cupcake mix or recipe

  • Lemon Yellow Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • Leaf Green Icing Color, 1 oz. - Green Food Coloring

  • Candy Eyeballs. .88 oz.

  • Black Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • Red Sparkle Gel, 3.5 oz.

  • Orange Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • Creamy White Decorator Icing, 4 lb. Tub

  • Tools

  • Non-Stick Cooling Grid - 14.5 x 20-Inch - Cooling Rack

  • Large Round Tip 2A

  1. Bake cupcakes. Heat oven to 350 degrees or temperature specified in your chosen cupcakes recipe and prepare the batter.

    Place a mix of orange and green liners into the muffin cups pan, pour in the batter and then bake.

    When finished baking, be sure to cool completely to room temperature before decorating.

  2. Tint icing. Combine Leaf Green and Lemon Yellow for green shown. Divide icing and tint icing: ½ cup black, 2 cups green, 2 cups orange and reserve 1 cup of original white.
  3. Decorate cupcakes. Use the following instructions to create each monster:

    White Mummy: Use spatula and black icing to cover top ¼ of cupcake. Use white icing and tip 47 to pipe stripes for mummy wrapping. Add red sparkle gel to pipe drops of blood. Position candy eyeballs.

    Orange Pumpkin: Use orange icing and tip 1M to pipe swirls on top of cupcake. Use green icing and tip 352 to pipe leaf stem on top. Position candy eyeballs.

    Green Monster: Use green icing and tip 2A to pipe swirls on top of cupcake. Position candy eyeballs.
