  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Prepare cookie pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare full amount of pie crust mix according to package directions. Roll out all the pie dough into a 13 in. circle approximately 1/8 in. thick and place on cookie pan.
  3. In small bowl, stir together brown sugar, cornstarch, cardamom and cinnamon. In medium bowl, combine sliced pears and cranberries; add sugar mixture and stir until well combined. Spoon mixture in center of crust leaving about 2 inches at the edge. Fold edge of crust over pear mixture. Cut butter into ½ in. cubes; place on top of pear mixture. Brush top of crust with beaten egg.
  4. Bake 50-55 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool completely on cookie pan on cooling grid. Once cool, dust with confectioners’ sugar, if desired.
