Cinnamon Sugar Baked Cake Donuts

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray donut pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Add buttermilk, eggs and butter. Beat until just combined. Fill each donut cup approximately 2/3 full.
  3. Bake 7-9 minutes or until the tops of the donuts spring back when touched. Let cool in pan for 4-5 minutes before removing.
  4. For topping, in shallow bowl or plate, stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Dip the baked donut in melted butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat. Donuts are best served fresh
