1. - Make cookie cake.Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. - In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer at medium speed until well blended. Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract and mix well.
3. - In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add flour and salt mixture to the butter mixture, and beat until well blended.
4. - Prepare the pan with cake release and press the cookie dough into the pan. Bake for 35 minutes. Cool completely and unmold onto the cake board.
5. - Trim cookies. With a knife, cut out a triangle shape. Starting at the 5 ½ inch mark on the 11 inch side of the cookie, cut on an angle, down to the bottom right edge, then repeat a cut on the left side to form a triangle shape. The triangle will be approximately 10 x 15 inches In size.
6. - Ice cookie. With the star tip on a green icing pouch, pipe zig zags to cover the cookie. Smooth out the icing with a spatula.
7. - Decorate. With a toothpick, mark sections starting at the top, marking every 2 ½ inches down to bottom.
8. - With a star tip on white icing pouch, pipe stars along marked sections.
9. - Add jumbo nonpareils, light bulb icing decorations, and yellow stars.
10. - Finish with licorice strings by trimming the edges with scissors and adding small light bulb candies.
