  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In large bowl, cream butter and sugars with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, then vanilla; blend well. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt; mix until just combined. Stir in chocolate chunks and nuts. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
  3. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes on pan; remove and cool completely.
