Bronze High Top Cupcakes

These impressive cupcakes add a touch of elegant luster to any occasion. The candy coated icing is easy to make using Candy Melts candy. The metallic highlights are equally simple using bronze Pearl Dust edible accents.

  1. Bake and cool cupcakes.
  2. Ice Cupcakes. Fit decorating bag with tip 1A and fill with icing. Pipe swirl on cupcakes. Freeze cupcakes 1/2 hour.
  3. Candy Dip Cupcakes. Melt light cocoa Candy Melts candy in small bowl; stir in EZ Thin dipping aid. Working quickly and holding cupcake by baking cup, dip icing swirl completely in melted candy. Lift cupcake straight up and out of melted candy. Chill until set, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Decorate Cupcakes. Place nonpareils in small bowl. Dampen sprinkles with a few drops lemon extract. Sprinkle Pearl Dust over nonpareils; stir to coat completely. Brush bottom edge of candy-coated icing with piping gel; sprinkle with bronzed nonpareils. Combine equal amounts of lemon extract and Pearl Dust; brush onto tips of icing swirl.
