A classic pie gets a fun update with a twist! Learn to make this easy braided pie crust. The braided details make this dessert a real show-stopper at any 4th of July party, Thanksgiving table, Christmas celebration or any time you want a sweet peach treat.
In large bowl, stir together sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg until well combined. Add peach slices and lemon juice and stir until peaches are well coated.
Gently unroll 1 pie crust and press into bottom and up sides of pie pan. Pour peach mixture into crust. Scatter chunks of butter over top.
Lightly flour Pie Crust Mold. Roll scraps into logs (about ½ in. thick) and press into braid mold cavity. Use a spatula to trim off excess dough to be level with the mold. Press dough down again, if needed. Carefully remove dough from mold. In small bowl, lightly beat 1 egg with 2 tablespoons water. Brush edge of pie crust with egg wash and apply molded pie dough to crust. Repeat until edge of crust is decorated. Brush top of molded pie crust with egg wash.
Place on cookie sheet and bake 40-45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Cool before serving.
