Blooming Cherry Pie

Create a blooming cherry pie with this easy-to-make pie recipe. Forget the lattice design—create a beautiful floral motif using fondant cut-outs.   1. Prepare pie. Prepare pie pan with bottom crust. Fill with cherry pie filling.
  2. Prepare top crust. Using small and large blossom and leaf cut-outs, cut shapes from top pie crust. Place on top of pie; crimp edges.

    Inlay smaller dough shapes into larger shapes, if desired.

  3. Bake pie. Brush top of crust with egg wash. Bake at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes. Turn oven down to 375 degrees F and bake until crust begins to brown and filling is bubbly, about 35 to 45 minutes.
