- Make the Cake Ball: Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cake in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan to grid and cool completely. Divide cake in half and freeze one half for future use.
- Using your hands or an electric mixer, crumble up the cake until no large pieces remain.
- Add frosting, mixing with fingers until well combined.
- Mix the crumbled cake with frosting and then roll into balls.
- Form Cake Balls: Melt Bright White Candy® Melts Candy according to package directions. Dip 1-inch red velvet cake ball into melted candy using fork or candy dipping tool and cover completely.
- Add knife icing decoration and press gently into cake pop before candy sets (place knife on the top side allowing space for candy eye to be placed).
- Squeeze a circle of the Blood Red Glaze on top of cake pop.
- Place candy eyeball on top of glaze and press down.
- Use toothpick to drag glaze down sides of each cake ball. Use additional glaze as needed to create bloodshot texture on ball.
- Chill until set, about 10 to 15 minutes.
