Ingredients

  • 1 package (18.25 oz) devil's food cake mix

  • 1 1/3 cups water

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 can (16 oz) cherry pie filling

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar

  • chocolate curls

  • cherries

  • Tools

  • 2 Perfect Results Round Non-Stick Cake Pan, 9 Inches

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray two 9\" round pans with vegetable pan spray.
  2. Prepare cake batter according to package directions using water, oil and eggs. Divide batter between two pans.
  3. Bake 25-30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely.
  4. Whip cream with confectioners' sugar. Place one cake layer on cake circle or serving plate. Spread half the whipped cream on top; add layer of cherries. Add second cake layer; press gently. Spread remaining whipped cream on top; sprinkle chocolate curls in center and add remaining cherries.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
