

Black Forest Cake

Ingredients
1 package (18.25 oz) devil's food cake mix
1 1/3 cups water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 can (16 oz) cherry pie filling
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
chocolate curls

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray two 9\" round pans with vegetable pan spray.
- Prepare cake batter according to package directions using water, oil and eggs. Divide batter between two pans.
- Bake 25-30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely.
- Whip cream with confectioners' sugar. Place one cake layer on cake circle or serving plate. Spread half the whipped cream on top; add layer of cherries. Add second cake layer; press gently. Spread remaining whipped cream on top; sprinkle chocolate curls in center and add remaining cherries.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
