A Cheery Hello Cookie

  1. Bake cookies. Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions. Using 2½ in. cutter, cut out cookies. Bake and cool.
  2. Tint fondant. Combine Teal and Sky Blue icing colors to get turquoise fondant color shown. Combine Rose and Sky Blue icing colors to get medium fuchsia fondant color shown. Combine Burgundy and Violet icing colors to get dark purple icing color shown. Tint 1 oz. fondant each turquoise and medium fuchsia using color combinations provided. Using Lemon Yellow, Orange and Pink icing colors, tint 1 oz. fondant, separately, yellow, orange and pink. Reserve remaining fondant white.
  3. Cut flowers. Working with one color at a time, use fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out fondant. Use plunger cutters to cut small and large flowers (each cookie needs about 6 to 7 flowers). Using ball tool and foam, cup flowers. Roll small flower centers using white fondant; attach to center of each flower using damp brush.
  4. Decorate cookies. Using white icing and 9 in. spatula, ice cookies smooth.
  5. Tint icing. Tint ¼ cup icing dark purple using color combinations provided.

    Prepare decorating bag with tip 2 and dark purple icing. Pipe message on each cookie.

  6. Arrange flowers. Arrange 6 to 7 flowers around outer edge of each cookie. Use remaining white icing to attach flowers to cookie, if necessary.
