1. - Make layered cake. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool two 12 in. layers, 1 1/2 in. high. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Level, fill and stack cakes for a 2-layer cake, 3 in. high. Use spatula and icing to ice cake lightly. Cover cake with 48 oz. white fondant.
2. - Decorate tye-dye effect on cake.

   Make LOVE plaque. Tint 5 oz. portion of white fondant blue. Tint 2 oz. portions of white fondant orange, green, pink and yellow.

   Use fondant roller with orange guide rings to roll out blue fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use fondant trimmer to cut a square, 9 in. x 9 in. Use brush and piping gel to attach blue square to cake.

   Use fondant roller with orange guide rings to roll out orange, green, pink and yellow tinted fondant, separately, 1/8 in. thick. Use fondant trimmer to cut a square, 4 in. x 4 in., from each color. Use brush and piping gel to attach to blue square.

   Use letter cutters to cut yellow "L", pink "v" and green "E". For "O" peace sign, use round cutter to cut orange circle. Use knife to cut out sections for peace sign. Use brush and piping gel to attach letters to 4 in. squares.
