Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
2/3 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups peeled, mashed ripe bananas (about 3-4)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chunks or chocolate chips, divided

- Preheat oven to 325ºF. Prepare a 9 x 5-inch pan with vegetable pan spray.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla; mix well. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture; mix just until blended. Stir in 2/3 cup chocolate chips or chunks.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with remaining chocolate.
- Bake 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on cooling rack 15 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely.

- Freshly baked bread can be stored in the freezer for up to a month. Make sure your bread has cooled completely, then wrap it in plastic wrap and aluminum foil.
- Slice your bread before freezing and just grab as many slices as you need without having to defrost the whole loaf.
