1. - Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe directions. Bake a 2 inch high cake and cool completely.
2. - Prepare frosting. Make the chocolate buttercream frosting recipe.
3. - Assemble cake. Level the cake and use the chocolate frosting to fill and frost.
4. - Make the candy tree. Print the spooky tree pattern and place on a cake board and cover with parchment paper.
5. - Melt Candy Melts candy following package directions and place in a prepared parchment bag; cut end of bag and fill in tree. Make one extra tree to allow for breakage. Chill to set for 10 to 15 min.
6. - Trim the lollipop stick to 4 inches and attach to the back of the tree with melted candy then position the tree top of cake.
7. - Decorate. Write a message on the tombstones. Position on the cake and secure with frosting. Add candy bones. Attach icing decorations and add sprinkles.
