   Bake cupcakes.

   Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool in white cupcake liners.

   Tint icing.

   Combine Sky Blue and Violet icing colors to get dark blue color shown. Using Sky Blue icing color, tint 1 cup icing each light blue and medium blue. Using Violet icing color, tint 1 cup icing violet. Tint remaining cup icing dark blue using color combinations provided.

   Decorate cupcakes.

   Prepare decorating bag with tip 54. Fill with all icing colors, allowing colors to mix in bag.

   Ring of Shells Cupcake (top left): Pipe row of shells around edge of cupcake. Pipe second row of shells inside first row, starting at edge and moving towards center. Pipe third row of shells in a ring inside second row. Pipe star in center.

   Pull-Out Star Cupcake (top center): Pipe pull-out stars around edge of cupcake. Continue towards center until cupcake is covered.

   Zig-Zag Cupcake (top right): Pipe tight zig-zag down center of cupcake. Pipe horizontal shells, alternating directions, on either side of center zig-zag. Pipe tight zig-zag lines on either side of shells.

   Shells and Zig-Zags Cupcake (bottom left): Pipe tight zig-zag around edge of cupcake. Pipe row of shells inside zig-zag. Pipe zig-zag to fill center. Pipe row of shells on top of first row of shells.

   Swiggle Cupcake (bottom center): Starting at outside and moving towards center, pipe elongated shells around cupcake. Pipe second row of elongated shells on top and between first row. Pipe row of shells around center. Pipe rosette to fill center.

   Ring Around the Rosette Cupcake (bottom right): Pipe row of rosettes around edge of cupcake. Pipe rosette in center of cupcake. Pipe stars around center rosette.
