  1. Ingredients:
    • 8 breakfast sausage links
    • 1-1/4 cups pancake and baking mix
    • 1/3 cup milk
    • 1/3 cup maple syrup, plus more to serve
    • 1 egg
    • Pinch cayenne pepper
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F. Prepare Breakfast Bites pan with vegetable pan spray.
  3. Cook sausage according to package directions. Cut each link into 3 pieces.
  4. In medium bowl, whisk together pancake and baking mix, milk, maple syrup, egg and cayenne pepper. Spoon 1 tablespoon batter into each pan cavity. Place 1 piece sausage on top of batter.
  5. Bake 6-7 minutes or until tops of bites spring back when touched. Immediately remove from pan onto cooling grid. Serve warm with additional maple syrup, if desired.Makes 24.
